Tracking Women’s Graduation and Support Schemes at SIUC

Spectrum International University College (SIUC) is deeply committed to promoting gender equity in higher education through proactive monitoring, tailored support systems, and transparent reporting. As part of this commitment, SIUC systematically tracks the graduation outcomes of female students across all levels of study. Over the past five years, more than 80% of female students have successfully graduated, reflecting a consistently high success rate. Current gender-disaggregated graduation data indicates a near 1:1 ratio between male and female graduates, suggesting balanced academic achievement and equitable access to educational outcomes.

This performance is underpinned by a comprehensive framework of Women Graduation Support Schemes aimed at ensuring that women not only access but also complete their academic journeys successfully. These initiatives include full and partial scholarships that reduce financial barriers for female learners, especially those from B40, single-parent, rural, or refugee backgrounds. SIUC also provides structured mentoring programmes that pair female students with academic staff or senior peers for guidance and motivation throughout their studies.

In addition, professional counselling services and student support units address emotional well-being, academic stress, and life transitions, which are critical factors in student retention. Educational workshops and success seminars help women build skills in time management, leadership, and exam preparation, further strengthening their ability to complete their programmes.

All data related to graduation outcomes is collected and reviewed annually by the Registrar Office. These gender-disaggregated insights are used to evaluate progress, identify barriers, and develop new strategies to close any emerging gaps between male and female graduation rates.

By maintaining structured tracking mechanisms and offering multi-dimensional support, SIUC ensures that all female students are given the tools and resources necessary to thrive. These efforts are not merely compliance-based but reflect the university’s mission to empower women through education, advance social mobility, and shape a future where no learner is left behind.
