POST DOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP

Objectives:

  1. To acculturate research mindset amongst academicians in SIUC.
  2. To uphold SIUC’s goal of excellence and quality in research & development, publication and grants.
  3. To increase SIUC’s research and publication visibility locally and globally.
  4. To contribute to SIUC’s SETARA and MYRA documentation and record.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. To increase SIUC’s research and development output by engaging with activities such as (but not exclusive to) publications, , industrial consultations and CSRs.
  2. Assist faculty members in the supervision of postgraduate student’s research as well as undergraduate final year projects.
  3. To assist ranking task forces (SETARA, MyRA, Quacquarelli Symonds).

 

Qualification:

  1. Open to any nationalities.
  2. Obtained a Doctoral degree (MQF level 8 or equivalent) from a recognised University or any institution of higher education recognised by Senate of SIUC.
  3. Not more than 10 years from the date of PhD awarded during application of this position.
  4. Possess prior experience in conducting research within respective field of expertise.
  5. Have published at least two SCOPUS/WOS/ERA papers as first authors.
  6. Possess high proficiency in writing and speaking in English.
  7. Experience in securing grants is an added advantage.

Terms and conditions:

 

  1. Successful candidate will sign a contract of agreement with a duration term of one (1) year with an extension of another one (1) year, based on the availability of research projects as well as performance carrying out tasks as post-doctoral research fellow.
  2. Head of RMC has the right to recommend for extension or contract termination based on performance or available funding or research projects.
  3. Throughout their tenure, each post-doctoral research fellow is required to publish at least Three SCOPUS-indexed journal articles or One WOS (Core Collections – SCI/SSCI/SCIE) journal article. Conference papers do not fulfill this requirement.
