Spectrum International University College (SIUC) reinforced its commitment to gender equality, inclusive education and women’s empowerment by hosting the Kuala Lumpur Entrepreneur Youth Summit (KEYS) 2025 International Conference. Under the theme “International Synergy to Be an Outstanding Entrepreneur,” the conference brought together speakers and participants from Malaysia, Indonesia and Palestine to promote entrepreneurial knowledge, innovation, leadership and international collaboration.
Recognising the importance of increasing women’s participation in entrepreneurship, business management and leadership, SIUC highlighted the value of providing equal opportunities for female students and aspiring entrepreneurs to develop their professional capabilities. The conference offered an international platform for knowledge exchange, encouraging young people, including women, to explore entrepreneurship, business innovation and leadership opportunities.
Through KEYS 2025, SIUC promoted greater awareness of entrepreneurship and business education as accessible pathways for women seeking to strengthen their academic qualifications and professional competencies. The institution recognises that encouraging female participation in business-related disciplines contributes to a more inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem and supports women’s representation in leadership and economic decision-making.
A key highlight of the conference was the keynote address by Ts. Dr. Raziff Hamsan, Director of Spectrum Internal Quality Assurance (SIQA), who shared insights into innovation, leadership and entrepreneurial excellence in a globalised economy. The session provided participants with perspectives on developing entrepreneurial capabilities, adapting to changing business environments and strengthening competitiveness through innovation.
The international conference also facilitated knowledge exchange among speakers from Malaysia, Indonesia and Palestine, exposing participants to diverse entrepreneurial experiences and approaches. Such international engagement supports SIUC’s broader efforts to promote inclusive learning environments where female and male participants can access professional networks, entrepreneurial knowledge and opportunities for personal development.
SIUC continues to recognise the importance of encouraging women to pursue educational and career opportunities in entrepreneurship, business management and related disciplines. Through industry engagement, academic programmes and international knowledge-sharing platforms such as KEYS 2025, the institution seeks to strengthen awareness of business education pathways and encourage greater female participation in entrepreneurship and leadership.
The initiative supports SDG 5 (Gender Equality) by promoting women’s empowerment and equal access to educational and professional development opportunities. It also contributes to SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
