SIUC and NCBA&E Advance International SDG Best Practices Through Collaborative Research Conference 2025

Subang Jaya, 10 December 2025 – Spectrum International University College (SIUC), Malaysia, successfully organised the International Conference on Management, Computer Science, Arts & Social Science (ICMCSASS 2025) in collaboration with the National College of Business Administration and Economics (NCBA&E), Pakistan, on 9–10 December 2025. The two-day international conference provided a platform for cross-border academic collaboration, comparative research discussions and the exchange of international best practices addressing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The collaboration brought together researchers, academics and institutional representatives to examine sustainability challenges through international and interdisciplinary perspectives. By connecting academic expertise from Malaysia and Pakistan, the conference facilitated comparative discussions on approaches to sustainable development, including educational accessibility, poverty reduction, gender equality, social inclusion, sustainable business development and responsible technological innovation.

A central focus of the collaboration was the comparative review of approaches to addressing the SDGs across different national and institutional contexts. Through academic paper presentations and research discussions, participants explored how sustainability challenges are approached within different educational, economic and social environments. The exchange encouraged consideration of differences in research methodologies, institutional strategies and potential solutions, particularly regarding SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities).

Beyond academic knowledge exchange, ICMCSASS 2025 provided a collaborative framework for the development of international SDG best practices. The conference’s interdisciplinary approach highlighted the importance of integrating research findings, comparative perspectives and institutional experiences when identifying practices that may be transferable across countries. Areas of emphasis included inclusive educational approaches, equitable participation, responsible business practices, interdisciplinary sustainability research and international knowledge-sharing mechanisms.

The collaboration between SIUC and NCBA&E also strengthened international research engagement by encouraging researchers to exchange academic findings, discuss emerging sustainability challenges and consider opportunities for adapting research-informed approaches to different national contexts. These exchanges contributed to a shared framework for considering international SDG practices and future collaborative research initiatives.

The conference concluded on 10 December 2025 with a closing and award-giving ceremony recognising academic presenters, organising committee members and institutional representatives. The ceremony highlighted the contribution of international academic partnerships to knowledge exchange, research collaboration and sustainable development.

Through ICMCSASS 2025, SIUC reinforced its institutional commitment to SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, particularly the importance of international cooperation in reviewing comparative approaches and advancing research-informed best practices for sustainable development. The collaboration with NCBA&E demonstrates SIUC’s efforts to strengthen cross-border academic partnerships and support the exchange and development of approaches to addressing global sustainability challenges.
