Anti Harassment Policy

Spectrum International University College (SIUC) affirms its unwavering commitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all students, academic and administrative staff, faculty members, contractors, and visitors. In line with this commitment, the university has adopted a formal Anti Harassment Policy, officially effective from the year 2024.

The policy establishes SIUC’s zero tolerance position on all forms of harassment. This includes but is not limited to sexual harassment, verbal abuse, discrimination, bullying, cyberbullying, and harassment through written or digital communication. The policy applies across all settings in which members of the university community may interact, including classrooms, offices, shared facilities, co-curricular activities, online learning platforms, university events, and off-campus functions associated with the institution.

Through this policy, SIUC ensures that every individual within the university has the right to learn, work, and participate in an environment free from intimidation, hostility, or abuse. All members of the SIUC community are empowered to report any incident of harassment confidentially and without fear of retaliation. A structured reporting and complaint mechanism is in place through the Office of Student Affairs and the Human Resources Department. Complaints are handled with full confidentiality, professionalism, and sensitivity, in compliance with Malaysian laws and international standards on workplace and educational safety.

In addition to reactive mechanisms, SIUC takes proactive measures to prevent harassment by promoting education, awareness, and community responsibility. Anti harassment training and education are embedded in new student orientation, staff induction, and ongoing institutional awareness campaigns. Through posters, briefings, workshops, and digital materials, the university actively fosters a culture of dignity, accountability, and respect.

SIUC also ensures that students or staff who have experienced harassment are supported with appropriate measures. The university provides access to support services and accommodations where necessary, and commits to enforcing disciplinary actions, including suspension or termination, against individuals found to have violated the policy
