STUDENTS REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL (SRC)

Hi everyone!

Welcome to the Students Representative Council (SRC). Our SRC members will serve for a term of one year. We conduct a large-scale election process where students vote and faculty members provide input based on classroom manners, involvement in university activities, CGPA, and more. Stay tuned to learn more about what the Students Representative Council (SRC) is all about!

HOW TO JOIN?

Students who wish to stand out among their peers and become responsible members of the council must participate in an annual election. To be eligible for nomination, students must meet specific discipline criteria before the elections. The Student Affairs Department of SIUC oversees the entire election process, with nomination windows open for registration on Google Form between November and December each year.

NOMINATION REQUIREMENTS FOR SRC

Academic Standing: Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and above.
Disciplinary Record: Must have a clean disciplinary record.
Attendance: Must have at least 90% attendance.
Participation: Must have participated in at least 9 SIUC activities/ program .
Leadership Skills: Must demonstrate strong leadership qualities.
Proactivity: Shows initiative and takes charge of responsibilities without being prompted.
Teamwork: Works well with others, fostering a collaborative environment.
Punctual: being on time or prompt in fulfilling obligations or attending events.
Nomination Form: Must fill out and submit the nomination form by the deadline.
Absence from duty is NOT allowed for more than 3 consecutive SIUC activities, except for unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, a written request must be made to the Manager of Student Affairs
