Candidates must fulfil one of the following:

  1. A Master’s degree (Level 7, MQF) in business and management related fields as accepted by the HEP Senate;
  2. A Master’s degree (Level 7, MQF) in non- related fields as accepted by the HEP Senate, subject to having relevant working experience and rigorous internal assessment
  3. A Master’s degree (Level 7, MQF) in non- related fields as accepted by the HEP Senate and without relevant working experience, subject to passing pre- requisite courses
  4. Other qualifications equivalent to a Master’s degree (Level 7, MQF) recognised by the Malaysian Government.

In addition, international students required to achieve a minimum Band 4 in MUET OR equivalent to CEFR (Mid B2).

The normal duration of study for a PhD program for full-time and part-time candidates is:

  • Full-time: 3 years
  • Part-time: 4 years

The maximum duration for completing a PhD program is  6 years

However, The actual time it takes to complete a PhD program can vary depending on several factors, such as:

  • Your research methodology: The chosen research methods (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed) can influence the research duration.
